Milton Keynes Model Engineering Society

Milton Keynes Model Engineering Society are the ones behind the creation of Caldecotte Miniature Railway.

We are a group of like minded people who are interested in engineering in miniature. The Society’s base is at Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes.

Several members not only have miniature steam, diesel and electric locomotives, but also have steam lorries, traction engines and many other things of interest.

If you have an interest in model engineering of any kind then feel free to drop by on any of our public running days to find out more, we are always looking for new members.

We also have members that are not engineers who come down to help out with the running of the railway with such tasks as selling tickets, waving flags, organising passengers etc, or most importantly making tea! Everyone is welcome whether you have your own engine or not, whether you are an engineer or not.

If you become a member and wish to drive the trains, full training will be given. Annual membership fees are £35 for an adult and £20 for a junior, (juniors must be aged 16 to do guard duties and aged 18 to do driving duties).
